Name The Triceratops for National Fossil Day Celebration Event

In celebration of the upcoming National Fossil Day, the Department of Geosciences is hosting a "Name The Triceratops" event at the Dunn-Seiler Museum. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate and submit their best name suggestions in a box at the front office in Hilbun Hall between Monday, September 12th and noon on Friday, September 23rd.

The Dunn-Seiler Museum committee is in charge of selecting the top five favorite names for the Triceratops. These top five selections will be posted to social media for public voting between September 26th and October 7th. Instructions for voting will be posted to the department's official social media pages.

The winner of the "Name The Triceratops" event will be announced through social media on Wednesday, October 12th, along with a link to the NEW online virtual exhibit of the Dunn Seiler Museum through the Mississippi State Library, titled, "Mississippi Fossils from the Dunn-Seiler Museum."
